Several years ago PMP formed
The Art of Leadership Foundation ("ALF")
whose mission is to utilize the beauty and creativity of the
Arts to inspire vision and leadership in young people, giving
them mastery in their lives and in their communities.
"Teens Taking Charge" is our motto, and that is just what they
do!
The Art of Leadership Foundation works with young people
from pre-teen through the completion of high school.
Since the early teen years are so critical to a young person's
development and eventual attitudes about life, ALF takes an
active approach to supporting them through these formative
years. Our students learn, from an early age, that they
CAN create an inspiring vision for themselves and for the
community and can take specific actions to see that vision
happen. Each student in the program takes a leading role
in a project that improves their community in some significant
way i.e.; painting houses and planting flowers in their
neighborhoods, forming block clubs, Neighborhood health fairs,
etc.
